hoss

When used by a white person, this word means the coolest badass that ever lived and connotes a sense of brotherhood. It is a term generally used in the South among males between the ages of 16-24.

When used by a non white person, this word is used to describe a white person who thinks he is way cooler than he actually is. The stereotype hoss according to the non white person is an 18 year old high school football player with a truck and a cowboy hat, who talks a big game but has a poor education level.

Steven Scott looked up to the characters on Varsity Blues and wanted to be a hoss just like them.

Tyrone Mofugga saw a bunch of hosses riding in the back of a pickup truck yelling "faggot" to everyone passing them by.

math rock

Math rock is a very loosely defined genre of music. The term is hard to describe and often misused. However, one good way to describe it is as a style of rock that has almost no trace of folk or blues, which is the traditional definition of rock. Instead, the sound may have a loose, jazzy-like and spontaneous feeling, in contrast to the direct and compelling sound of blues and folk. At the same time however, the music is also calculated, and instrumental riffs are often based on timed formulas. For example, a guitar riff may repeat a sequence of five quarter-notes over 4/4 time signature, thus giving the listener an overall feeling of chaos, in spite of the riffs rigid structure.

The genre is gaining more influence, especially in the Los Angeles area. Bands like The Blood Brothers, Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower, and An Albatross are some of the most famous math rock bands.

WWTD

Acroynm for "What would Tyrone do?" This acronym is mentally or verbally stated when the subject poses the inquiry of what Tyrone (the epitomized representation of African-American males) would do in the given situation.

WWTD represents a modernized version of the acronym WWJD, "What would Jesus do?" Its usage has become increasingly popular and has begun to replace WWJD, for many find that the ability to think from the mindset of the young, black male is more relevant in today's world than thinking from the mindset of Jesus.

Jose discovers a bag of marijuana stashed in the school's restroom. He instantly thought to himself, "WWTD?"

Jamal made a purchase from a local dealer, but it turns out that the dealer had hustled him. Jamal asks his friend, Paul, to back him up while he confronts the dealer. At this time, Paul asked himself, "WWTD?"
