A 'revolutionary' band formed in 1960 that found great commercial and critical success. (Present day) it is considered a federal offense to claim that you do not consider them the best and last great thing to happen to the entirety of music. Regarding them as "meh", "okay" or "overrated" may result in, but is not limited to; severe berating/beating, vandalization of property, and/or having all you enjoy referred to as 'overrated'- regardless of its relevance to music; all punishments which may be delivered by hipsters, your parents/grandparents, the general public, etc...
John: The Beatles were okay, I just think they were a little overrated, y'know?
Hipster: (yelling) Hey everybody, this guy doesn't like The Beatles! I know, what the hell right!?
(Crowd starts to chant 'blasphemy!')
John's mother and father: Where did we go wrong!?
(John curls to a ball on the floor as he is showered with boot heels, fists and saliva)

Alot of people who dont like them use the reason that they are overrated as a reason. You certainly don't have to like beatles music, but to say that they are overrated is a pile of crap. They influenced modern rock, and almost everyone copied them in some fasion.
Loser: Wow I hate the Beatles because they are overrated!
Sensible Person: How is the fact that they are overrated in any way at all related to their music?

Awesome rock band. Anybody who doesn't think so is wrong. I usually respect diffierent views, but in this case it's unexcusable. These 4 lads from Liverpool were a sensation that swept the world for 8 years(1962-1970). Their influence still lives on today. Without The Beatles, Rock just wouldn't be the same.

Probably the most influental music act for the last century. Absolutely brilliant. All albums and songs deserve your attention. There is nothing more I can say that hasn't already been said.

The band of bands. 'nuff said. They talk about them in the bible...in the book of ROCK. Chapter 1 verse 1. "And the god of rock said 'let there be kick ass brits to put an end to this elvis nonsense' and then he created the beatles...and it was good"
