A twist on an old saying that makes reference to the reality that sometimes needing to make that dollar can lead to shouting at the top of one’s lungs due to job performance burnout.

To withdraw instead of surrender, and save face by returning stronger than before, with the knowledge of past mistakes behind, and knowing where to attack the enemy.
It is better to live and fight another day than to die defending the undefendable.
