Glasnost

Introduced by Gorbachev in the 1908s, a policy which called for increased openness and transparency in government institutions and activities in the Soviet Union. See Perestroika

-Glasnost literally means "openness to public."

-Glasnost provided less censorship and greater freedom of information to the Soviet Union
