grey daze

A great band. The band has long since broken up. It's lead singer, Chester Bennington, joined the band Linkin Park (another great band, IMO). Another member, whose name I forget, has passed away.

The sound is nothing like Linkin Park's music, so don't expect that. Its very soft and slow. No rap elements at all.

Some Grey Daze songs, like 'Broken Glas', are said to be early Linkin Park stuff. This is not true at all. The only thing linking Grey Daze and LP is Chester's singing. And the singing styles are entirely different as well.

Some Grey Daze songs include:
B12
Saturation
Anything, Anything
Broken Glass
Drag

tuesday

The most random day of the week. Really, it is. All the other days have something going for it, but not tuesday.

Monday is the start of the week. Everyone hates monday...or else. Wednesday is the middle day. The day when you can start looking foward to things to came. Thursday is...well, as someone said: "The real start of the weekend, and only one day Ҁ™til Friday." Friday is the day before weekend. One of the best days. Saturday and Sunday: The weekend. Nuff' said.

Tuesday is a tossup. It can be anyhting or nothing at all.

Tuesday is...Tuesday.

Rap rock

Rap rock is a hybrid of rap and rock music.

You can usually find traditional instruments of rock like guitars, bass guitars, and drums. Vocals can be sung, rapped or both. You may also see electronic sampling equipment, scratch pads and a DJ.

Now here's the part that some kiddies can't seem to get right: Rap rock is a broad definition for the hybrid genre. Nu metal and rapcore are just specific examples of rap rock.

Nu metal tends to be heavier, harder music with electronic elements, it leans more towards metal (hence the name). Bands such as Slipknot, KoRn, and Godsmack fall into this category.

Rapcore is more of a hybrid between rap and hardcore punk (instead of metal). Bands like House of Pain, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine and some of the works of KoRn are good examples of this genre.

Rap rock is a genre of music in which labels can get a bit messy because people often think of Rap rock as being another name for Nu metal or Rapcore.

<3

Viewed sideways becomes a heart. Usually used to express luv or love for something over the internet. Can be used on a complete stranger you met in an online forum. Less creepy than using the word love on people you don't know.

note: <3 (luv) and love are not necesarily the same. Luv, like 'lub', is a less serious and more lighthearted version of 'love'.

I <3 u = I luv u = I lubu
(none of these is equal to 'I love you')

The City That Never Sleeps

A term for New Yrk City. Either all five boroughs as a whole or just Manhattan.

The people are arrogant, because the can be! We are the city all others bow down and look up to. They aspire toward this greatness. This is where it's at, where everything happens, and is going to happen. It's the center of the universe. This is New York City - The City That Never Sleeps.
