sassafras

A term used in the American Northeast to describe human hair, usually red, that closely resembles a lion's mane. Usually unruly and untamed.

"Caitlin looks like a lion with hair like that." -girl #1

"Well, obviously, it's sassafras. Of course it makes her look like a lion!" -girl #2
